UNICO Projects at Ericsson Imagine Live 2024

On November 26th, Ericsson Iberia kicked off the Imagine Live Spain 2024 event, a key gathering for technology leaders, academics, and institutional representatives. For three days, the Sweden Tower in Madrid became the epicenter of discussions on how technological innovation impacts society and the global economy.

The event showcased current and future capabilities of 5G while addressing key trends such as artificial intelligence, sustainability, and cybersecurity.

Antonio de la Oliva, coordinator of the 6G-EDGEDT project, provided insights into this groundbreaking initiative. During the event, Ericsson also presented a demo based on the project.

Meanwhile, Carlos Jesús Bernardos, coordinator of the 6G-DATADRIVEN project, shared his perspective on the strategic role of 6G networks in the digital economy.

Through these initiatives, Ericsson reaffirms its commitment to research and development under the framework of the UNICO 5G R&D projects, an ambitious Spanish strategy to lead innovation in 6G. Ericsson Spain R&D actively collaborates on seven projects within the UNICO program, including 6G-EDGEDT and 6G-DATADRIVEN, led by Universidad Carlos III de Madrid (UC3M). These projects cement Ericsson's leadership in designing cutting-edge technologies for a more connected, sustainable, and advanced future.
